The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) was established on June 1, 2016 by the Government of India. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal was first allotted to hear appeals against the orders passed by NCLT, to dispose of the appeals, issue directions, or make a decision in relation to them, but soon thereafter, in 2017, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal replaced the Competition Appellate Tribunal and was bestowed with appellate jurisdiction in Competition Commission Matters.
