Our Expertise
International Trade
International Trade holds huge economic significance for any country, as on one hand, the goods produced in a country may not be efficiently utilised in such a country and the surplus quantity may be economically exported to other potential consumer countries, while on the other hand, the scarcity of a particular commodity (or commodities) in the first mentioned country may be met with imports from those countries that have produced them in surplus. This way, economic optimisation can be reached on a global scale.
To achieve this objective, the World Trade Organisation has laid down certain rules and regulations, and following the same, most of its member countries, including India, whether with the purpose of serving pro bono for others, achieving economies of scale, or safeguarding their national and domestic market interests against dumping and enemy countries, have also introduced internal laws, rules, and regulations to regulate export and import in their country.
Since we have witnessed a multifold increase in transactions in export and import across the world, instances of infringement of one’s obligation against another party have also gone up, which has paved the way for a new line of dispute resolution to be done by legal professionals.
