The Competition Act or Anti-Trust Law

The Competition Act or Anti-Trust Law in India was enacted in 2002, which repealed the earlier version of the Indian Competition Law, namely the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969 (MRTP Act). With its enactment and the subsequent establishment of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and jurisprudential development of the law, the scope of queries and consultancy sought by the Companies entering into merger deals and/or transacting otherwise with each other has enhanced.

Our team is technically equipped, skilled, and experienced to deal with all kinds of Competition Law issues. With our experience in the field, we have come to grow our client base from Domestic to International and are further looking forward to serve more companies from varied horizons.

We seek the Competition Law clearance on behalf of Clients entering into Mergers & Acquisitions and related transactions and render advisory to avoid the Competition Law repercussions, which may arise from the implementation of various Intra-Companies transactions. Moreover, we are committed to keeping our clients away from the Competition Law scrutiny and thus we undertake a personalized risk assessment and analysis and accordingly render advisory to them in relation to their day-to-day business conduct, their new release, leverage into other markets, their transactions with third parties as to sharing of consumer data and creating possible network effects, etc.
